At Insight we believe that learning is a lifelong process, not something that ends after high school. We meet each of our clients where they are by providing opportunities to learn at home, work, day program, or in the community. We focus on helping our clients increase their quality of life and independence in many ways, including decreasing challenging behaviors, increasing communication, teaching new leisure skills, promoting independence in daily living skills, and so much more. Because we can’t be there for every moment, our adult services emphasize training and coaching for families, caregivers, and staff to help maximize learning outcomes, based on the principles of applied behavior analysis. We value the knowledge that other professionals bring to the table and enjoy working with inter-disciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and collaborative services. For our adult clients we focus especially on building self-management skills through assessment, 1:1 teaching and behavioral counseling, and consultation based on the needs of each individual.
Please note that most adult services are provided either via telehealth or in-person at our Aurora clinic. Services are overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and delivered either directly by a BCBA, or by an RBT who is closely supervised by an BCBA, and who meets all state requirements to provide Individual Behavioral Counseling though the Colorado Home and Community Based Service (HCBS) waivers.
